Su-ao Port is located in the south of Yilan County,northeast of Taiwan. Along with a major fishing port of Taiwan, the Nanfang-ao Port, the two large harbors makes up Su-ao as a whole,famous for its seafood restaurants and cold springs.
One of the famous local specialty is the Su-ao Cold Spring, the spring water temperature is around 22C degrees Celsius, it has a pH of 5.5 and it’s both bath-able and drinkable. Research has shown the cold spring from Su-ao contains high concentration of carbonic ion which is the highest of all Taiwan springs. The Su-ao Cold Spring is the only calcium hydroxyl carbonic spring in Taiwan, making Su-ao cold spring one-of-a-kind.
