Whale Watching Tour
Yilan is the nearest site to the greater Taipei area for whale-watching. You will enjoy a scenic boat tour from Yilan's Wushih harbor to Gueishan (Turtle) Island and get close to dolphins and flying fish jumping out of the water and dancing around the boat.
The best time for whale-watching in Taiwan is between April and November, when the waves are calmer. Visitors may discover the mesmerizing waterscapes and see a stunning array of well-known Guishan(Turtle) Island wonders. Guishan Island (Turtle Island) is located about ten kilometers away from Yilan Wushih Port, a volcanic island named for its appearance similar to a floating sea turtle. It takes about 2-3 hours for Dolphin Watching & Boat ride around Turtle Island.
